Doncaster CAMRA Pub of the Season - Summer, 2004 Extract from page 11 of the 'Donny Drinker' Issue 83 Autumn 2004 ** On Friday 27th August,
2004 we travelled to Thorne to present a very well deseved Pub of the
Season Award to the Victoria Inn. In accepting the award Tina paid tribute to all the staff at the Victoria and presented each in turn with a gift to thank them for their contribution to the pub's success - a nice touch. One of the pub's regular customers then made an impromptu speech praising Tina and the 'Two Marks' for not only being excellent licensees but also 'good friends'. The varied and plentiful buffet provided in honour of the occasion went down extremely well with CAMRA members and locals alike. Beers from Glentworth, Oldershaw's, Kelham Island and Acorn rounded off a superb evening. ** For Details of Branch
