Well its Christmas month and we have some special selected appearances that I have held back for Christmas.
We have three debut artists to appear this month:
The first, Zak Allen on the 10^th, I am told has a very good voice.
The second is a newly formed boy girl duo called Double -
Impact.  Neither of them are strangers to club land so lets see how well they sing together as a duo.
Then we have Helena on the 17^th -  I hear she is doing well wherever she appears.
Pick of the month is difficult this month due to specially selected artistes for Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. However I will exclude these and give my PICK OF THE MONTH to the Ritchie Taylor Show on the 18^th.

 

Friday 2^nd December

MADDIE STORM

star vocal entertainer

Should have been Jessica Jay tonight but I was informed she is suffering from throat problems and will be unable to work for two weeks.  I got a nice surprise when I found out Maddie was available I wanted her back as soon as possible after she stunned us all on Friday 11^th March this year.  This lady has a superb voice and I was only too happy to book her as our replacement.

 

Saturday 3^rd December

ELLI JAMES

Terrific Female Entertainer

Elli is another artiste who makes a long awaited return to Outwood - her last appearance was on Friday 5/9/02

She was rated a good and her name has been on my wanted list ever since.  Also from Ceebee Varieties

 

Sunday 4^th December

AIDEN JAY

Hilarious Comedy Vocal Entertainer

First appearance last November this is one for the easily offended as Aiden swears very little which is good if you can do comedy without the bad language, and should please our less broad minded members.

 

Friday 9^th December

ADAM JAMES

Top Personality Vocalist

Third appearance for this personality vocal who was rated good on both his previous visits.  He has done Saturday as well as a Friday so is on target for his hat trick tonight of three consecutive goods.

 

Saturday 10^th December

ZAK ALAN

Star Male Vocalist

Selected by the agent.  I have met Zak and I keep hearing he has a good voice - is it good enough for Outwood well we are about to find out tonight !

 

Sunday 11^th December

DOUBLE IMPACT

Excellent Boy / Girl Harmony Duo

Recently formed duo featuring Miss Nikki Dee & Mr Rob Lea.  Both artistes have been performing in clubland many years so have a wealth of experience.  Rob was ex Tamla Motion if anyone remembers them. Tonight we will hear them sing songs from Ronan Keating Shakira Keane Meatloaf Shania Twain and many more……

 

Friday 16th December

SCOTT ADAMS

Top class young male vocal

Scott is another one of ceebee Varieties acts. He returns for his third visit in three years. On his last two appearances he was rated good. I would expect him to be rated well again. Please welcome back Scott Adams

 

Saturday 17th December

HELENA

Excellent Female Vocal Entertainer

This girl is selected by Richard Crossland - she works for Ricky Graham Leisure (entertainments agency). Although I can’t find a previous booking for her here at Ledger Lane I do believe I have seen her before. Perhaps I have seen her on a show case or in one of the artiste’s competitions I may have attended in the past.

Tribute to 3 Decades of Music

PICK OF THE MONTH
A very entertaining evening - not to be missed !

This show went down extremely well earlier this year. When appearing here on Friday the 27^th of May he rated as a very good on that night.

He is my selection for the month if we exclude Christmas Eve and Boxing Day night.

 

Friday 23rd December

CASSIE KENNEDY

Sensational Female Vocal

Cassie made her debut here at Outwood Saturday 29^th August 2002.  She never appeared since despite being rated a good by the committee.
I can’t say why she hasn’t been back but we have fixed a date on her at last.

 

Saturday 24th December

JASON TAYLOR

Pure Power - Pure Soul - Pure Class

No less than four appearances last year.
He rated as a good every time !
Jason was saved from being booked until this special evening. He is an excellent performer with a superb personality and attitude, to make this Christmas Eve a fantastic nights entertainment.

CRAIG KIDD

Top Children’s Entertainer

Children’s Xmas party - Member’s children only

Craig is Booked for the third years running as requested by your resident chairman and vice president Gerry.

 

Monday 26th December (evening)

PHIL ALLEN

Excellent Guitar / Vocal Entertainer

This will be Phil’s third visit this year. I’m sure you will agree he is worth another visit on this special day. He always leaves me well impressed and I have yet to see a guitar player as talented as him on the club circuit.

 

Friday 30th December

CRAIG MICHAEL

Top Keyboard Vocalist

Though he has not been to ledger lane this year he visited twice last year first time was for the Bowles presentation the second was for a Sunday evening as he was requested by the committee. Didn’t go down as well that evening but still rated as a fair. He is an ideal entertainer for our Friday night punters and I’m sure he will do well tonight.

 

Saturday 31st December

NEIL KAYE

Superb Guitar / Vocal - by Request

Neil did a super job entertaining us for a bank holiday last year, so well that lots of members asked if we could have him here for New Years Eve. We did and were so impressed he has been booked to do it all over again.

 

Well that’s another year over !
