hp Pavilion t860.uk Desk Top Computer Purchased 28th
September, 2005 from Staples Product No.
t860.uk To whom it may concern, Wireless Mouse - Battery Problems On September 28th, 2005, I purchased a hp Pavilion
Desk top computer from Staples From the outset, I got recurring low battery warnings
and the mouse then cut off Though I tried some 16 batteries - all new and different types - the problem persisted. Though the mouse cuts off (no led output), the
batteries are all ok I assume therefore, that it is the mouse software, or the mouse battery level detection hardware, that is at fault. Staples could not offer a replacement mouse from stock and suggested contacting hp direct. MANY telephone calls to hp resulted in a 'busy' tone
and no message option. It was not easy finding the appropriate technical
help page but, though completing a form, I have - as yet - not received
anything other than than the automatic response. I am currently using a wired mouse and do not want to return the whole system - particularly since I have spent MANY hours installing my desired programs and files ! PLEASE can a replacement mouse be provided - present mouse will be returned to Staples with a copy of this letter. Please note that I have been
'requested' to replace the keyboard batteries ONCE.
Awaiting a reply, Melvin Ashton Copy of email reply from hp: Thank you for contacting HP Total
Care; please do not reply to this message. Reply referred me back to supplier (Staples, Leeds) Mouse exchanged by Staples - System now ok (November, 2005) HP home Page |
