Bat emerging from behind trim June 2007

a slightly enlarged picture
.
Hi Mel,
I was barbequing on the back porch one evening and I looked up
and this is what I saw peeking out from behind the trim. As I
produced more smoke he flew away followed by four more bats.
The space they were in is 1.25"w x .375"d and is formed by the
vertical channel siding. The bats enter at the bottom and exit
at the top. Amazing! As soon as they migrated south for the winter
I filled the entry and exit holes with caulking and repainted the
trim. I had been told that they only
required a .375" space to get into but thought the woman who told me
was exaggerating, now I know she was telling the truth.
I have been looking at your web site and I'm sorry to say I can't
add any more names to the Stanley Secondary Modern School pictures.
I still have my Victory Certificate, but I don't have my ration
book. I didn't know Alyssa and Olivia did sketches for you that day
you took us on your boat. Next time they are here I will show them
the pictures, I'll bet they remember doing them.
You've got to teach Holly to walk on her two front legs!
All the best to you and June and Holly,
Ernie. (Pics & info received by email 05/03/08)
Ernie - how about Wakefield Secondary
Technical School - now added to links page ?
Time to 'come clean' - I didn't create the
'Holly Tricks' - it was sent to me by my
Niece Julie Hart (sister Doreen's elder daughter). I merely
created a link to it. Mel

The "pecker" was pissed off at me for nailing the piece of
sheet metal over his "work" the next day
when he showed up. He was pecking at the tin and hopping around the
tree squawking like hell !
Yesterday, (28th April, 2008), I noticed another
small hole being "worked on" just below the tin.
The battle goes on!

Ernie, this was an attempt to
crop & enlarge IMAGE_0714 if you scan this at a higher resolution we
should get an excellent picture - Mel

Ever been walking
through the woods at night and had that sensation that something
was following you???
This picture
is from Kimberley, BC
where someone set out a motion Sensor
camera to see
if any big bucks were passing in the area.
