Reduce from 4 to 3 / day then 3 to 2 / day after 1 week.

Allow up to 4 hours (took about 1 hr).

Vitrectomy operation requested - consent form signed. Local anaesthetic - no need to stay in hospital. Gel in eye to be removed (replaces naturally with fluid). Another patient informed me that his friend had the same treatment but included use of a 'gas bubble' in an attempt to 'smooth' the distorted retina.
